Curry steak
and chips

Serves 2
Ingredients:
v1
Sirloin Steak
v1
Head of Broccoli
v1
½ large baking potato
v20grams
garlic paste
vSalt
and pepper
v3TBSP
canola or sunflower oil
vRosemary to taste
v2 TBSP Filtered water
v10grams curry powder
v2 cloves of garlic (minced)
v1 TBSP parsley
v2 frying pans and lids
vSieve
vOven
vOven tray
v2 Knives

Preparing

Preheat the
oven to 450.
Heat the garlic and oil in a small
saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes. Strain the garlic from the oil with a
small mesh strainer. Set both garlic and oil aside.
Cut the potatoes into 1/4-inch sticks.
In a large bowl, toss the oil, potatoes and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Spray a
baking sheet with cooking spray and spread the potatoes onto it in a single
layer. Bake until golden and crisp, about 35 minutes.
Remove potatoes from the tray with a
metal spatula. Toss with parsley, reserved garlic, and additional salt, to
taste. Serve immediately.

Cut off the parts of broccoli you would like.
2.
Peel broccoli (optional)
3.
Wash broccoli in a sieve
4.
Cut off the main parts of fat.
5.
Rub the curry powder on to the sirloin steaks
6.
Keep them we will be using them instead of oil
Method
1.
Heat a large frying pan on a medium heat.
2.
Place the pieces of cut off fat in the frying pan. Also add as much
garlic paste as you would like
3.
Heat another frying pan on a high heat and add the rest of the canola
or sunflower oil
4.
Once the fat in the large frying pan has started to sweat place the
steaks in the pan.
5.
Place the broccoli in the other pan when the broccoli starts sizzling
add 2TBSP of water and place a lid on top. Steam to your liking.
6.
When the steak has nearly finished cooking to your liking add some of
the rosemary.
7.
Once the broccoli is cooked to your liking serve on a plate.
8.
Do the same with the steaks and present with the rest of the rosemary.
9.
Take out the chips and finish presenting.
Season to your liking then eat!!
Evaluation:
My Meal went really well, we got off task when cooking
broccoli so it got burnt. It was really good apart from that and it tasted amazing.
Who would have thought curry and steak tasted nice together?
